Ishan Kishan the pocket Dynamo from Bihar

At a young age registers his name in history books

Ishan Kishan becomes the fourth Indian player to score a double ton after Rohit Sharma, Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar.

Ishan Kishan made history on December 10 against Bangladesh in Chittagong by being the fourth Indian and ninth batter to register a double century in one-day international cricket.

Ishan Kishan and Virat Kohli put together a 290-run stand to help India win the third one-day international against Bangladesh after losing the first two matches. Bangladesh gave India the bat, but India quickly lost Shikhar Dhawan (3). Ishan Kishan and Virat Kohli then performed.

Early Life of Ishan Kishan

In the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy match against Delhi on November 6, Kishan scored 273 runs, breaking the previous mark for a Jharkhand player. In the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy (484 runs in six matches) and the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy (405 runs in nine matches), he led Jharkhand in runs scored.

Kishan made 173 runs against Madhya Pradesh in February 2021 on the first day of the 2020–21 Vijay Hazare Trophy, contributing to a record score of 422.

Previous Fastest Double Century

Chris Gayle's 138-ball double against Zimbabwe in the 2015 World Cup was the previous record for men's ODIs, and Amelia Kerr's 134-ball effort against Ireland in 2018 was the fastest double across all genders in ODIs.

As of right now, Kishan is the only hitter to have scored a double-century in an ODI match against Bangladesh. Coventry's 194 against Bangladesh was the previous record score. Now Ishan holds this record with 210 runs.

Ishan Kishan's IPL Career

In the 2016 IPL auction, Gujarat Lions purchased Kishan. The Mumbai Indians purchased him in the 2018 auction. With 516 runs from 14 games in the 2020 season, he led Mumbai in run scoring and took home the trophy for the season with the most sixes hit.

For 15.25 crore (US$1.9 million), Mumbai purchased Kishan once more in preparation for the 2022 IPL, making him the second-most expensive Indian player at the auction behind Yuvraj Singh.
